PAEDIATRIC OCCUPATIONAL THERAPIST
Full time and part time positions available in Bangor - Sutherland Shire.
Experienced paediatric therapists, graduates and those seeking a career change will be considered .
Full-time hours worked across a 9-day fortnight .
Work from home 1 day per fortnight and enjoy a long weekend every alternate week.
Join a well-resourced clinic offering regular 1-hour weekly supervision with senior therapists including 1:1 mentoring.
Our practice owner is a well-respected, highly skilled, and experienced therapist who is hands on in the clinic.
Fortnightly in-clinic Continuing Professional Development (CPD)
You will be well supported by an experienced admin team.
Above award salary packages based on years of experience.
eg. L1 Graduate role salary from $72,000 to $78,000 p.a. and we add on all the extras incl.: -
Superannuation – currently 11%
17.5% annual leave loading
generous CPD allowance for approved courses and paid study leave.
Annual review of salary.
Clinical Practice
Our therapists plan, deliver and evaluate Occupational therapy services to clients including NDIS participants which build on family and client strengths, needs and priorities.
We provide evidence based Occupational Therapy assessment and treatment to clients including comprehensive assessment and /or screening of clients; incl. physical, social, cognitive, sensory and emotional skills and how they impact on their development, movement, play and social skills.
Together with the client, their carers and other team members, we formulate an agreed, Individual Therapy Plan. including client-directed goal setting. Therapists prepare comprehensive reports as necessary.
We work collaboratively with clients, their families and other service providers involved in the clients care.
We refer to other disciplines, health and community services as required.
All clinical staff participate in regular professional development opportunities to keep up with current developments.
We provide weekly clinical supervision with The Director and and/or the Senior Occupational Therapist.
You can contribute to maintenance, review and improvement of clinical resources, procedures and day to day tasks.
Therapy services may be provided to Children with an overall developmental delay, children with a diagnosis e.g. Autism and those who are experiencing complex challenges relating to behaviour and learning.
We are Registered Providers to the NDIS.
Mandatory requirements prior to commencing
Bachelor or Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy & current registration with AHPRA on commencement.
