Your new company This well-known Federal Government Department is seeking 2 x APS4-APS6 & 2 x EL1 Policy Officers to join one of their Divisions that plays a key role in the Australian Government's investments in land transport projects. You will be joining the Division at an exciting time as the Australian Government repositions its approach in collaboration with State and Territories. Your new role You will join their Federation Funding Agreement (FFA) team to deliver this significant portfolio of work. The FFA is a five-year multi-billion-dollar funding agreement between the Commonwealth and State/Territory governments for land transport infrastructure. At the APS4-APS6 level, you will support the Executives undertaking negotiations. You will provide policy support for the negotiations and help to provide advice to the Executive through research and analysis on stakeholder engagements. As an EL1, you will support the Minister, Secretary and Senior Executives to develop the Federation Funding Agreement's while leading a team. You will provide policy support for the negotiations and conduct research and analysis to provide advice to the Senior Executive on stakeholder engagements. What you'll need to succeed To be successful in these positions, you will have previous experience in a similar position and the Federal Government. You will also have excellent written and verbal communications skills, the ability to work well both independently and as a member of a team, enjoy working in a fast-paced environment, have an interest in and capability for policy development and the ability to analyse and synthesise information. To be considered for this role, you will need to be an Australian citizen and have the ability to obtain and maintain a Government Security Clearance at the Baseline level or higher.
