We have the perfect opportunity for you! The Gawler Aquatic Centre is seeking a dynamic individual to fill the role of Lifeguard in Charge.
The role As a Lifeguard in Charge you will play a key role in supporting the effective and efficient operations of the Gawler Aquatic Centre. This position is integral to the council's strategic goals and meeting the diverse recreational needs and safety of our vibrant aquatic community.
Oversee and promote Aquatic Operations and Programs during assigned shifts
Provide supervision of pool and surrounding areas
Provide direction to on-site staff, fostering a positive and collaborative team environment
Maintaining a high level of safety for all patrons and respond to first aid and emergency situations
Perform pool tests and monitor water quality while on shift
Provide excellent level of customer service
Provide feedback, input and operational knowledge into the development, review and improvement. of work practices, service levels, standards and Centre policies and procedures.
Certifications you will need The ideal candidate will have prior experience as a qualified lifeguard along with the following qualifications.
Pool Lifeguard
First Aid Certificate
CPR
Working with Children
Desirable Qualifications
Pool Plant Operators
Teacher of Swimming and Water Safety
