Your Opportunity
We are seeking an experienced Commercial Manager to join CPB Contractors in South Australia.
You will have accountability for:
Safety
• Demonstrate a personal commitment to the safety and health framework, policies and management
system requirements and expectations;
• Develop and maintain an awareness of SHE hazards and associated risks and demonstrate a commitment
to eliminate or minimise those risks;
• Understand and effectively undertake SHE accountability
Business Performance
In consultation with the Project Leadership Team, oversee the development of appropriate pro-forma agreements for the Project and ensure that the contracts/finance team and other functional teams are instructed in their use.?
Ensuring that all contracts meet the legal, commercial and corporate standards and agreed benchmarks?
In consultation with the Business & Systems Manager, prepare and compile monthly progress claims for the Project Director’s approval?
Establish, implement and maintain processes for managing insurance on the project (insurance roadmap) including administering the correct and accurate processing of any insurance claims.?
Administer all head contract requirements in particular establishment and accurate reporting of change management process across all functions, ensuring that notices are administered in accordance with specified timing requirements.?
Ensuring the effective implementation of commercial and financial risk management procedures??
Reviewing of subcontract tender documentation?
Conducting contract negotiations with subcontractors & suppliers and managing significant claims and conflict resolution as required?
Governance
• Ensure compliance with all relevant legal and regulatory requirements and all relevant Company and Joint
Venture/Project policies and processes
Minimum requirements for this role include the following:
• BSc (Hons) Quantity Surveying, or similar approved degree qualification
• Minimum 5 years’ experience as a Commercial Manager on a major project in a client facing role.
• Excellent interpersonal skills
• Advanced understanding of construction contract
