We have an opportunity for an immediately available Payroll Officer to join our dynamic and fast paced Payroll Team for a 5 month contract. Reporting to the Payroll Team Lead you will be an integral team member ensuring timely processing of payroll transactions, serving as a point of contact for queries or issues as they arise.
You thrive working in highly collaborative teams and bring your exceptional customer service skills coupled with knowledge of relevant awards and EBA’s. Your commitment and dedication ensures every member of staff is remunerated accurately and promptly.
Day to day you will:
- Process timesheets, interpret awards and complete data entry in a high volume environment
- Process new starters, terminations and employment changes and undertake all relevant leave reconciliations
- Provide great customer service and be the point of contact for general payroll enquiries, including but not limited to policies, awards, tax and superannuation
- Adhere to, understand and interpret relevant EBA and legislative awards and instruments
- Prepare employee pay advices, government agency reports and ad hoc payroll reports in a timely manner
- Maintain employee data records, conduct regular audits and ensure payroll documentation is in line with internal and external audit requirements
- File and archive payroll information
- Identify any risks and escalate / communicate in a timely manner.
