NCH Electrical & Data require a Communications Technician to join the team.
Applicants will be expected to perform the below tasks:
Installation and termination of the following network communications cables:
• Optical fibre Structured cabling (Cat 6, 6A & 7A)
• Patchcords
Voice UTP Coaxial Installation of the following cable/wiring support protection:
• Aerial/catenary support
• Cable tray / ladder / cage systems
• Metallic conduit
• Non-metallic conduit
Trunking Underground systems Installation and termination of the following power and control cabling:
• TPS sheathed flat cable
• TPS sheathed circular cable
• XLPE sheathed cables
• Fire performance cables (e.g. MIMS) • Security cable
Examining drawings, specifications and work areas to determine positioning and connections for equipment to be installed
Identifying and locating faults in telecommunications equipment using ohmmeters, voltmeters, ammeters and transmission measuring equipment.
Repairing faulty items, testing and maintaining wires and cables, and radio
All work must be completed to a high standard and the project specifications.
The suitable candidate should be willing to travel regularly within regional QLD and maintain a high and consistent standard of quality, health, safety and protection of the environment.
The applicant must have a valid White Card and at least 2-years experience preferably on Construction and Hospital sites.
Base salary starts at $80 080 ($38.50 x 40hours x52 weeks) plus allowances.
