Eildon Road Children's Centre is a community run early education service located in the heart of St Kilda, Victoria. We cater for children aged 0-6 years. Our hours of operation are Monday to Friday, 7.30am to 6.30pm.

We are currently seeking an Early Childhood Educator to work full-time in our Centre, focusing on the following tasks and responsibilities:

• Working with the Room Leader, parents and educators to plan and implement culturally rich and welcoming learning environments and activities, appropriate to the developmental needs and interests of all children including the provision of an accessible and inclusive program for children with a disability.
• Assisting in the preparation of materials and equipment for children’s education and educational activities.
• Assisting the Room Leader in developing, recording, and maintaining, records of individual children.
• Managing children’s behaviour and guiding children’s social behaviour.
• Assisting in the provision of a safe, healthy and welcoming environment, supervising the children in recreational activities and during the daily routine.
• Ensuring Child Safe Standards are followed at all times.
• Participating in discussions with relevant early childhood support services and other professional services and organisations within the community as required.
• Assisting with preparation of regular reports concerning the overall operation of the service.
• Being actively involved in the development and implementation of the Quality Improvement Plan of the service.

Ideally, you will have the following skills and experience:
• An understanding and knowledge of early childhood development relevant to your level of qualification and position.
• Ability to assist in the provision of a developmentally appropriate program for the children, in partnership with the Room Leader and parents.
• An ability to plan, reflect, work, and manage time effectively with minimal supervision.
• Reasonable knowledge and understanding of the National Laws and Regulations.

To be successful in the role, you will require the following qualifications:
• Minimum Certificate III Qualification,
• Current Working with Children Check,
• Mandatory Child protection (or willing to obtain).

The salary range for this role is $65 000 to $75 000 (excluding superannuation)
