We are seeking an experienced Head Chef who offers the following:

• Develop creative and appealing menus in line with the restaurant's concept.

• Maintain rigorous quality control throughout food preparation and presentation.

• Monitor and ensure the consistency of dishes prepared by kitchen staff.

• Confirmation about efficient management of inventory by ordering the necessary food supplies.

• Monitor and control food wastage through effective inventory management.

• Communicate effectively with managers, dietitians, and kitchen/waiting staff regarding food preparation and menu details.

• Provide cooking demonstrations and advice to kitchen staff.

• Ensure compliance with hygiene standards and enforce them within the kitchen.

• Regularly update and maintain hygiene practices to meet industry standards.

• Assist in the selection of kitchen staff and contribute to their training.

• Foster a positive and collaborative work environment among kitchen staff.

• Actively participate in cost control measures.

• Manage and monitor financial budgets, including food costs, wage costs, and other related expenses.

• Ensure proper freezing and preservation of food to maintain quality and freshness.

• Proactively seek opportunities for process improvement in food preparation and kitchen operations.

• Stay updated on industry trends and incorporate innovative techniques and ingredients into menu offerings.


The successful candidate must:

• Demonstrate a robust culinary background with a minimum of 2-3 years of experience, showcasing proficiency in diverse cooking techniques and styles.

• Hold a Certificate III and IV in commercial cookery, underlining a solid foundation in culinary arts and techniques.

• Possess excellent communication skills to effectively convey ideas, collaborate with kitchen staff, and liaise with other team members.

• Excel as a team player, contributing positively to the kitchen's collaborative spirit and fostering a harmonious working environment.

• Navigate seamlessly in close proximity with other kitchen staff members, exhibiting flexibility and adaptability in a dynamic kitchen setting.

• Showcase the capacity to contribute to the kitchen's success, provide leadership, and assume authority when required, ensuring a smooth workflow.

• Exhibit a willingness to undertake various kitchen responsibilities as needed, contributing to the overall efficiency and success of the culinary operations.
