We are a team of around 30 based in Fitzroy with further team members based across the Eastern seaboard who build, support and maintain mobile and web applications for our customers.

Responsibilities
This is a great opportunity for a passionate Quality Assurance Engineer to be part of a small practice working closely with our delivery teams in Fitzroy, Melbourne to:
• Maintain and manage quality assurance processes for technical projects within the company.
• Provide objective advice to make sure the risks of software releases are understood and mitigated.
• Ensure that quality assurance requirements are gathered and all manual and automated test plans are created and executed.
• Adopt and promote a mindset of quality across all software build and release groups to maintain exceptionally high levels of quality, consistently.
• Assist the build and release team with release management and deployment tasks.
Duties/Tasks
• Report quality assurance issues and maintain environments for automated deployments.
• Prioritise custom built application monitoring solutions specific to projects.
• Identify opportunities to enhance automated test capabilities for in-house built quality assurance technical frameworks and delivery enhancements.
• Create test scripts in Java & Javascript/Node.js, in addition to any other OOP languages as required along with Postman and TestNG.
• Evaluate functional performance of systems to ensure quality standards are met.
Skills & Experience
• Good understanding of software quality assurance, analysis, test case design principles and release management
• A background in both manual and automation quality assurance testing in an open source environment essential
• A good general understanding of the SDLC and STLC
• Experience creating test tools/scripts with Java & Javascript/Node.js
• Knowledge of automation and performance tools such as Selenium Webdriver, Postman, TestNG for QA management
• Experience with testing RestAPIs and configuration management with Chef, Puppet or Ansible
• ISTQB certified
• Be able to communicate effectively with the team
