Hinterland Aviation is a leading regional airline in North Queensland, with our Head Office & Heavy Maintenance division in Cairns with a growing fleet of 13 turbine powered aircraft.
Due to sustained and continual growth, an exciting opportunity now exists for a highly motivated B1 Aircraft Maintenance Engineer to become apart of our team in this full-time position in Cairns
Successful candidates will need to have the following skills & experience:
Current ASIC card or be eligible to hold Australian ASIC;
Completed Cert 4 in Aeroskills (Mechanical)
General Aviation experience highly regarded;
Capacity to refer to and interpret specifications/standards and written technical instructions
Ability to work autonomously and meet deadlines
Excellent time management and organisational skills with strong attention to detail
Duties & responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Inspect and test aircraft structures, systems and equipment
Diagnose malfunctions in the aircraft or in mechanical components or systems including engines, hydraulic systems, flight control systems and fuel systems, as per technical manuals, drawings
Disassemble aircraft systems for repair, overhaul, cleaning and reassemble
Assemble and/or install replacement parts, components and structures, as per technical manuals, drawings and established procedures
Maintain an accurate record of the maintenance carried out on the aircraft
Data entry in software in accordance with Company procedures and regulatory requirements
Successful applicants must have a commitment to safety and employment is conditional on satisfying aviation security and screening procedures. Current Australian drivers license preferred.
