Our underground coal mine, Aquila, has an exciting opportunity for a Technical Services Coordinator that is based in Middlemount, QLD. You will work with our industry-leading remotely operated autonomous longwall technology, where our Aquila Mine won the Outstanding Mine Performance category at the 2023 Australian Mining Prospect Awards.
The mine features two longwall systems (walk on, walk off) ensuring production continuity. Both longwalls are fully remote capable from the site-based Remote Operations Centre (ROC) on the surface of the mine.
Reporting to the Technical Services Superintendent, you will:
- Break down the medium and long-term plans to coordinate task-based outcomes
- Manage and coordinate project groups as required
- Develop work instructions for operational tasks and coordinate activities for the technical services department
- Frequent Underground inspections for work planning
- Collection of technical performance metrics from supervisors, reports, and specific monitoring plans
- Assist the Superintendent to manage projects for the technical department, monitoring that projects are delivered within the agreed scope, and to the required quality standards
- Work as part of an interdisciplinary team of mining engineers, geotechnical engineers, geologists and surveyors to deliver best practice technical services and ensure targets are delivered in accordance with the annual mine plan
- In addition, working in collaboration with cross departmental stakeholders, you will ensure all business goals and objectives are delivered
