Reporting to the Executive Housekeeper, you will have the accountability of ensuring the smooth running of operations in the housekeeping department.
This role is available for one full-time and one part-time position.
Your day-to-day responsibilities will include, but are not limited to the following:
- Ensure the security of guest rooms and keys.
- Ensure the safe storage, issue and effective use of cleaning materials and equipment as specified by the manufacturers and procedures manual.
- Assist the Executive Housekeeper in the daily checking of bedrooms and designated team member areas to maintain standards.
- Be competent in the running of the clean laundry operation and ensure the cost-effective use of linen and assist with inventories as requested by the Executive Housekeeper.
- Monitor and replenish cleaning products stock including floor cleaner, bleach and rubber gloves, etc.
- Liaise with Front Office and Maintenance regarding “ready” rooms ensuring guest requirements are met.
- Respond to special requests with a sense of urgency.
- Assist with preparation of rosters, ensuring that suitable and cost-effective employee levels are maintained at all times.
