Ability Action Australia's south west Sydney team are looking for Behaviour Support Practitioners who have current suitability at the Core level - as confirmed by the NDIS Quality and Safegaurds Commision, or people who are wanting to work as Behaviour Support Practitioners. 

Successful candidates will be providing supports to NDIS participants living in the Camden, Campbelltown and Wollondilly shires. Kilometre & toll's are reimbursed.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Assisting NDIS participants, along with their families and/or carers, to identify their needs through assessment and person-centred planning
  • Evaluating, developing and delivering evidence-based support plans within a complex support space
  • Developing meaningful goals and practical strategies utilising a positive behaviour support framework, and with a commitment to eliminate restrictive practices, in the home and community
  • Ensuring individual plans reflect our NDIS participants' goals, passions and strengths, as well as ensuring they get more out of life
  • Building the knowledge, capacity and strengths of those who support participants in their lives - family, carers, friends, etc
  • Acting as an advocate and role model for best practice
  • Working collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team
