About the role:
As part of the Inventory department in Tullamarine, this position reports to the Logistics Manager to ensure a very high level of efficiency in inventory & receiving warehouse operations for assigned clients.
What you will be doing:
- Inventory Management
- Conduct cycle counts & stake takes
- Maintain stock & inventory accuracy
- Investigate the root cause of the variances
- Manage system reconciliation
- Coordinate with clients to handle the disposal of obsolete, damaged & expired stocks
- Plan & implement of inventory strategies to achieve the highest accuracy
- Ensure location accuracy reflects all order fulfilment
- Warehouse Coordination
- Utilise the warehouse efficiently through the consolidation of SKUs, batches & locations
- Utilise warehouse aisles efficiently through occupancy reports to alert when the warehouse stock is close to its capacity
- Coordinate with the Operations department to adhere to FIFO or FEFO strategies
- Deliver reports to internal & external stakeholders
The successful candidate:
Essential:
- Minimum two years experience working as an Inventory Controller or related position
- Experience working in a warehouse 3PL environment with unit-level packing
- Proficient knowledge of Warehouse Management System (WMS)
- High attention to detail & accuracy
Desirable:
- Excellent communication & interpersonal skills
- Sound analytical & budgetary skills
- Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
