Registered Nurse Acute – Grade 2
Terang and Mortlake Health Service has positions for experienced Grade 2 Registered Nurses who are looking for a different experience in health care. Our Health Service encompasses a 14-bed acute hospital with an Urgent Care Centre and Operating theatre providing acute services to a wide geographic area. We are well supported by a dedicated team of Nurses, General Practitioners, Visiting Specialists and Allied Health Staff. Our services also include Residential Aged care, District Nursing, Community Health, and Early Parenting.
The Role:
• Under the delegation of the Nurse in Charge; provide Nursing Care within the Acute Hospital including Triage of Urgent Care presentations, pre and post-operative care, general medical and palliative care.
Essential criteria:
• Registered Nurse with AHPRA, Visa applicants must provide evidence of permission to work in Australia.
• Previous experience as a Registered Nurse
• Sound interpersonal and communication skills.
• Excellent clinical skills.
• Ability to work effectively in an environment of change and continuous improvement.
• Experience working independently.
• Computer skills
• Person centred approach to aged care.
• Problem solving skills.
• Demonstrated ability to manage resources effectively.
Desirable:
• Professional membership
• Minimum two years’ experience
• Knowledge of and experience in quality activities.
The position is permanent shift work including regular weekends, evening shifts and night duty.
