HOBAN is working with a team who is looking for a Senior Accountant to join dynamic team in Frankston! As an Accountant, you will play a vital role in providing comprehensive accounting services to clients. The ideal candidates will have a strong background in public practice , possessing excellent knowledge of financial statements, tax returns, and compliance procedures. If you are a proactive individual with a strong work ethic and a passion for delivering exceptional client service, we want to hear from you! Responsibilities:

Ensure compliance with annual and quarterly financial statements and tax returns.
Compile and lodge BAS (Business Activity Statements) on a quarterly basis.
Handle monthly Payroll Tax Reporting.
Assist clients in using cloud software such as XERO.
Provide tax planning, corporate structuring, and advisory services.
Engage in day-to-day client interaction, building strong relationships.
Collaborate and liaise with external parties, including ATO (Australian Taxation Office) and SRO (State Revenue Office).
Review accounts, tax returns, GST, FBT (Fringe Benefits Tax) obligations, and other compliance matters.
Monitor monthly billings and productivity.
Work closely with clients, offering advisory and compliance services.
Stay updated with industry regulations and best practices.

Requirements:

Minimum 5 years of experience as an Accountant in public practice.
CPA qualification or actively working towards it.
Proficient knowledge of compliance procedures, financial statements, and tax regulations.
Familiarity with cloud-based accounting software, particularly XERO.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
Attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.
Proactive mindset and a commitment to delivering outstanding client service.
