Surat Basin Mechanical & Engineering Miles is seeking to fill the full time position of Motor mechanic / Auto electrician
The successful candidate must meet the following requirements as a minimum
• A minimum of 3 years post trade experience
• Hold an Australian open manual drivers licence
• Hold an Australian industry white card
• Hold either an Australian approved trade certificate as either a motor mechanic or auto electrician
• Be competent in electrical fault finding and repairs
• Be able to pass regular alcohol and drug testing
Work duties include repairs and maintenance on the following equipment with previous experience an advantage.
• Light vehicles
• Trucks
• Generators
• Elevated Work Platforms
• Small engines
• Outboard motors
• Welding
• Auto electrical
Salary is paid by hourly rate in accordance with the Vehicle Repair, Service and Retail Award (MA000089) with an hourly rate ranging between $28 an $35 for full time employment based on experience. We offer a minimum of 38 hours per week working Monday to Friday with overtime when required.
Surat Basin Mechanical & Engineering promote a smoking and drug free environment. Due to contracts with emergency services, mining and gas companies and alcohol interlock fitting, all positions are required to be alcohol and drug free with regular testing and pass an Australian Police check.

All positions start on a casual probational period with opportunity to advance into full time.
