How will your ideas contribute to shaping what’s next?
As our new Geospatial Consultant, you will be joining an existing Geospatial team, supported by local staff and further supported by our wider, national Geospatial cohort of 50+ dedicated GIS specialists, as we continue to expand our Spatial team in Sydney.
You will share our genuine passion for GIS and be someone that actively pursues continuous learning to help shape the future. You will ideally be a forward-thinking Geospatial consultant, with strong interpersonal skills with aspirations for leadership and a real customer focus.
Here are the key things you’ll do:
- Support our projects (primarily in NSW) and play a critical role in delivering initiatives across our markets nationally.
- Work closely with select key customers to identify opportunities to improve their efficiency, experience, and capabilities.
- Provide leadership, guidance, and coordination to junior team members.
- Promote the team’s capabilities both internally and externally.

What are we looking for from you?

We value that each of our team members brings something different to Aurecon. We look for people who have had a broad range of experiences throughout their career and can demonstrate how they have worked as part of a team to bring ideas to life.
Alongside your industry experience and bachelor’s degree in associated business disciplines (Spatial Science, GIS or related field), you’ll also have:
- Experience in GIS or a related field.
- Excellent understanding and working knowledge of the ESRI suite of core products, including: Esri ArcGIS Desktop/ArcPro and the analytic extensions.
- ArcGIS Enterprise, ArcGIS Online, Field maps and Survey123 experience expected.
- FME, ESRI Model Builder or python scripting experience anticipated.
- The ability to build lasting relationships, strong communication skills and attention to detail.
