Medina Engineering Is looking for a full time Mechanical Engineer working full time 38 hours per week paid 70k plus super.

Excellent opportunity for experienced Mechanical Engineer to join our team of first class tradesman and a chance to work with the latest machinery & advanced manufacturing & mechanical processes.

Your duties and responsibilities will be planning, designing and managing the mechanical operation and maintenance of our mechanical processes that will also include installing and programing of machines to establish coordination of manufacturing activities, and ensure usage of resources is cost effective.

Successful applicants needs to hold a bachelor degree or higher qualification in the field (equivalent in Engineering (Mechanical/ Manufacturing/ Production/ Industrial)) with a minimum of 3-5 years of closely related experience in the last 5 years in Mechanical or Industrial Engineer role and knowledge of CNC equipment,
* Developing specifications for manufacture - preparing production procedures (travellers) and have experience in a jobbing shop environment,
* Good literacy of manufacturing drawings (BOM) and ability to develop specifications of customer orders in terms of the requirement for engineering, material, equipment, labour & delivery - from start to finish, including project scheduling & budgets,
* Have a structured and logical approach to organising and managing project labour and the delivery of materials, plant and equipment,
* Oversee shop floor planning to optimise production & cost efficiency including document control ensuring appropriate visibility across the Engineering team,
* Some experience in detail drafting (Autocad & SOLIDWORKS preferred),
* Eye for detail, organised & a team player,
* Quality-oriented mindset and proactive in recommending updates to processes where appropriate,
* Good communication & time management skills - ability to liaise with suppliers, customers & workshop alike,
* Experience in purchasing, Quality systems ISO9001, WHS & ERP in heavy manufacturing is preferred
Skills required.
A related bachelor degree or higher qualification with at least 2 years of closely related work experience
