Reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor, an opportunity exists for a qualified Fitter to join our Townsville Team on a full-time, permanent basis to support the success of one of our award winning, beef processing facilities. The salary for this position is $67000-$75000 plus super.
Responsibilities (include but are not limited to):
Engage in making, fitting or repairing mechanical machines, instruments or appliances.
Fault finding and problem solving
Continuous improvement of plant equipment and systems
Be actively involved with inspections of equipment undergoing rebuild or repair
Proactive approach in the implementation of preventative maintenance
About you:
Fitter and Tuner trade qualifications essential
Experience in maintenance/repair in a fast-paced manufacturing environment is advantageous however not necessary
Able to demonstrate integrity and a professional work attitude
Sound computer skills
Ability to work a rotating roster of day and afternoon shift.
