About the Opportunity
We have three new exciting opportunities for suitably qualified and experienced Exploration Geologists to join our Exploration team based in Melbourne. Part of the WesCEF Minerals division, you will get the chance to work on exciting new projects, and help the exploration group to make our next “electrification metal” discovery.
As an Exploration Geologist and reporting to the Senior Geologist, you will be involved in field based activities. Regular travel to Western Australia will be required as part of the role, with rostered time in the Melbourne office. This is your chance to develop your career with a company committed to the advancement of electrification and critical metals. You will have access to our leaders and will be supported to participate in a range of training opportunities to continue the growth of your technical skills and development of your career .

Some of your responsibilities will include:
• Day-to-day activities managing drill or sampling programme;
• Implementation of rehabilitation activities;
• Collation, interpretation and reporting of geological data ;
• Implementation of Quality Assurance and Quality Control processes;
• Coordinate research programs;
• Liaising with contractors and consultants;
• Investigating new exploration opportunities;
• Preparation of technical reports and images;
• Proactive in the identification of workplace safety and health hazards and implementation of safe working procedures.
What we’re looking for:
• Minimum Bachelor of Science (Major in Earth Sciences);
• Relevant experience in a similar role;
• Experience using 2D and 3D mapping and modelling software experience such as QGIS, Micromine and Leapfrog;
• Ability to demonstrate team work, initiative and communication skills;
• A keen interest to work in remote locations;
• Commitment to safe working culture;
• Valid Australian Manual Drivers Licence
