Regional Migration Australia Árpád Aged Care is a much-coveted Aged Care Facility located in Wantirna, in Melbourne’s leafy eastern suburbs.  Built in 1994, and fully government accredited, Árpád Aged Care specialises in aged care for people with a Hungarian background and offers 62 low and high-care-level rooms and 11 independent villa units, enabling the provision of transitional care from independent living through to low and high-level care.  This unique venue offers their clientele a rich Hungarian culture, with culturally represented nurses and support staff, Hungarian cuisine, and ongoing celebrations of the Hungarian culture and traditions.   Benefits Competitive base remuneration of $60,000 to $70,000 commensurate with experience. Task & Responsibilities Working within a multidisciplinary team and practicing with and under the direction and supervision of the Registered Nurse (RN) and Enrolled Nurse (EN), your responsibilities will include:   In consultation with the RN/EN contribute to the assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of individualised care and care plans for each client. Assisting clients to meet daily living needs in relation to nourishment, hydration, mobility, personal hygiene, grooming, dressing, toileting, physical/therapy-based treatments or plans, medications, communication, domestic activities, general activity participation and other support within the care plan. Following therapy plans to assist those with specialised needs such as dementia or behavioural problems. Observe clients’ physical, emotional and behavioural conditions and report changes in condition or any uncharacteristic or inappropriate behaviours. Encourage and support clients in offering feedback and criticisms in relation to their care and needs. Comply with all Árpád Aged Care policies and procedures and provide a quality service in accordance with the Aged Care Quality Standards. Be prompt, courteous and respectful when interacting with clients, families and colleagues. Provide direct support and/or assistance to therapists and other support services/practitioners as required. Support the rights, interests and needs of the client, whilst respecting their right to freedom of choice, privacy & dignity. Qualification & Experience An AQF Certificate III (or equivalent) and 2 years recent and relevant work experience in the Aged Care sector. Experience in the various responsibilities listed above.  Ability to converse/communicate in Hungarian (preferred). Current First Aid and CPR Certificate. Demonstrated strong commitment to excellence and quality in the provision of aged care services. Well-developed communication and problem-solving skills. Ability to complete documentation to meet Árpád standards, accreditation and funding requirements, both written and electronically (PC based). Demonstrated ability to comply with accreditation/compliance as appropriate to level. Demonstrated ability to organise and manage own routine and workload. Commitment to, and willingness to participate in, continuing training and education related to area of employment. Ability to work effectively, respectfully and collegially in team environment. Highly developed interpersonal skills and ability to work with clients of differing backgrounds whilst maintaining role and professional boundaries. Current satisfactory police check. Demonstrated knowledge of the Aged Care Accreditation Standards.
