Our client is a leading provider of engineering, construction and maintenance services within the transport, communications and technology, oil and gas, power generation, renewables and utilities sectors. Due to continued projects awarded they are looking for multiple Electrical Fitters to support their motor winding team for ongoing work based in Newcastle.
What's involved?
AC & DC traction motor overhauls, rewinds, and repairs.
Generator overhauls, rewinds, and repairs.
Static and dynamic balancing of electrical equipment
A strong commitment to maintaining a safe environment
Final testing to ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.
Collaborate with engineers and project managers to meet project deadlines.
Read and interpret drawings
What we're looking for:
Trade Qualification as Electrical Fitter or equivalent trade with motor rewind experience
Trade assistants with motor rewind experience welcome
Experience in overhaul, repair and rewind of AC & DC motors.
Experience in overhaul, repair and rewind of generators and / or other rotating equipment.
Eye for detail and quality standards
Strong oral and written communication skills
Strong commitment to safety workplace
Able to pass pre employment medical, drug & alcohol screen and police check
What we can offer you
Full time, permanent positions
$45.83 / hour, increasing to $48.52 April 2024 and $50.43 2025
$1 / hour all purpose motor winding allowance
9 day fortnight
Plenty of overtime available
17.5% annual leave loading
