Established in 2019, Ability Psychology Services is a small team of passionate team of health professionals located across Australia. Due to increasing demand, we are now accepting applications for Psychologist positions in Brisbane (i.e., Inner North & Far North Suburbs). We are accepting applications from both registered and provisionally registered Psychologists. For our provisional and early-career Psychologists, we have an established framework of internal supervision, training, professional development and support alongside a reduced caseload size, and welcome applications from suitably qualified candidates. Whilst we are recruiting for full-time positions, we will also consider part-time work arrangements for the right candidate (0.6 or 0.8 FTE).
Both contractor roles (competitive hourly rate) and employment options are available for generally registered Psychologists. Provisional Psychologists are offered internal supervision in addition to their employment package. Remuneration and packaging is informed by registration status and experience.
ABOUT THE ROLE
Ability offers both in-clinic, online and mobile health and assessment services at our Client's homes, schools and community centres to deliver on our values of flexibility and accessibility. Our office is located in Herston, Queensland and Clinicians have the opportunity to work online (telehealth), in clinic (Herston), however predominantly work within the community (outreach). We work collaboratively with our team to support their specific interest areas and professional growth and development. We also offer a suite of assessment services (incl. training therein) to support our Clients in diagnosis, testing and reporting as informed by their referral goal. Outside of Client-facing appointments, our team enjoys flexible working arrangements (i.e., reporting and admin can be completed from home), individual and group supervision, team meetings, trainings and team building activities.
Depending on Clinician registration and preference, the composition of your caseload and work days can vary. For example, we offer 'desk days' each week where staff are able to work from home and complete administrative requirements, reports or catch up on clinical workload (e.g., allows capacity to schedule additional Client appointments, where required). A full-time Psychologist with provisional registration is offered a reduced caseload to support their professional growth and development (e.g., 16 appointments p/w). Similarly, generally registered Psychologists enjoy a collaborative approach to negotiate their preferred caseload size and employed/contract terms. Ability encourages a work-life balance, values family and we support our team by negotiating work arrangements to accommodate individual needs and preferences, wherever possible.
