In particular, the company is known for its production of its high-quality ‘Fast Tread’ stairs and other prefabricated formwork systems, which now feature in over 1,000 buildings, including many landmark ones, across Australia and internationally.

Job Description:
The company is looking for a full-time experienced Metal Machinist specialising in the setting and operation of CNC machinery, specifically the Turret Punch and Press Brake, to join their growing team in Goulburn NSW. As a Metal Machinist, you will be working as part of a team on the workshop floor, and you’ll be responsible for the setup and operation of CNC metal press brake and turret punch machines, ensuring the production of precision components to demand for high-quality products.

Your key responsibilities will include but not limited to:

· Set up, configure, and operate CNC turret punch and metal press brake machines for optimal performance.

· Interpret CAD drawings to ensure specifications are met when operating CNC turret punch and metal press brake machines.

· Monitor machine operations to ensure they run smoothly and efficiently.

· Interpret technical drawings and specifications to produce precision components.

· Examine specifications to determine suitable materials, organise operating sequences, and apply correct methodology and order.

· Adjust machine settings, set various controls on presses, and use precision measuring equipment.

· Perform routine maintenance on machines to ensure they operate at peak performance.

· Troubleshoot and address any issues that arise during the machining process.

· Quality control and check metal parts to ensure total accuracy and fit.

· Bend and cut components.

· Be effective and proactive in meeting deadlines.

· Take pride in producing high quality production metal components and bodies.

· Maintain a clean and organised work environment.

To apply for the role, you must have the following:

Have 3+ years of relevant experience as a machinist with CNC machines.
Trade certificate desirable, but not essential where 3+ years of relevant experience is demonstrated.
· Ability to read CAD drawings.

· Innovative thinker, in touch with modern tooling and practices.

· Assist our Production team in developing stream-lined process and procedures.

· Strong communication skills and interpersonal skills.

· Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills.

· Attention to detail with exceptional time management skills.

· Good work ethic, reliable team member.

· Industry knowledge and/or sheet metal processing highly regarded.

· High level of accuracy and attention to detail.

· Strong safety focused work ethic.
