Job Description:
The company is now seeking for a full-time Welder (Metal Fabricator – ANZSCO 322311) to join the team in Goulburn. Welders are responsible for fabricating the company’s steel and other metal products, which are primarily stairs, door frames, and other prefabricated formwork systems to be used in the construction and renovation of buildings. Marking off and tracking the progression of stock you work on is also an essential part of the role.
It is a factory-based role, which means stable and reliable hours, a closeknit team who you’ll become integrated with, and no travel for their welders, but also means that a strong attention to detail, commitment to quality, and reliability are musts.
Your duties will include:
1. Studying drawings and specifications to determine project requirements and materials.
2. Selecting appropriate metals for welding projects to be completed.
3. Cutting and shaping metals using different tools, torches and machines including shaping and bending metals to fit project specifications.
4. Joining metals and parts together using a range of welding techniques.
5. Ensuring the end-product complies with all specifications including cleaning, polishing, and smoothing end products.
6. Use of various machine tools and hand tools used in the manufacturing process.
7. Ensuring OH&S regulations are complied with at all times.

· At least 3 years of work experience in the field.
· A certificate or higher (or overseas equivalent) in welding, metal fabrication, or a related trade.
· Understand properties of different welding metals.
· Must be able to follow instructions both written and verbally.
· High level of accuracy and attention to detail
· Strong safety focused work ethic.
