We are currently seeking applicants who meet our requirements for an Electrical (PV) Engineer to support our Energy as a Service (EaaS) business. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in managing and overseeing the establishment of our early-stage solar PV and battery storage projects from conception right through to completion. Highly considered candidates will demonstrate their experience in:
• Conduct site assessments to determine the feasibility of solar installations.
• Plan, design and engineer solar PV systems that meet client requirements and regulatory standards.
• Review, interpret and approve engineering drawings and specifications; including circuits, transformers, circuit-breakers etc.
• Determining the correct mounding equipment including feats, rails, etc
• Create, deliver, and maintain drawing packages, specifications for suppliers and sub-contractors, and technical project documentation.
• Design solar power plant on AutoCAD, including Single Line Diagram, Inverter String Lings, Operation and Control and Protection set points.
• 3d Design of inverter station and Distribution Board (DB)
• Interpret specifications, drawings, standards and regulations relating to electric power equipment, rooftop solar PV and home battery installation
• Estimating installation schedules and supervise the installation process for solar power plant.
• Estimate the cost of projects – both domestic and commercial
• Stimulate and estimate the power production and feasibility of PV systems using modelling software
• Establish work schedules which support the establishment and delivery of equipment to sites and providers to support the generation, consumption, transmission and distribution systems of behind the metre PV and battery and grid electricity consumption.
• Ensure the delivery of grid design interconnection concepts (and ideally executive plan sets) for the PV plant, including substation for HV grid interconnection.
Client Communication:
• Collaborate with clients to understand their needs and provide technical expertise.
• Serve as a point of contact for clients throughout the project lifecycle, addressing any concerns or questions.
Your experience should match a minimum of:
• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering
• Minimum 2 years' work experience in a similar role
• Proven experience in solar PV engineering and installation
• Demonstrated knowledge of Australian solar regulations and standards.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
