The A220 Fleet Chief is responsible for all training activities being delivered in compliance with the CASA approval, defined standards and processes and ensures that the highest standards of safety, compliance and training quality are maintained.
The A220 Fleet Chief is accountable for the supervision of theoretical knowledge and flight simulation training, and also accountable for the standardization of all theoretical knowledge instruction and flight simulation instruction on the A220 fleet.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities – A220 Fleet
• As required, represent and act on the behalf of the Center Leader or Head of Training.
• Responsible for instructor supervision and standardization.
• Responsible for the implementation of training standards
• Responsible for instructors being aware of and complying with established instructor standards.
• Responsible for the training and development of local instructor staff.
• In conjunction with the CAE global/ regional teams, execute an integration roadmap for instructor hiring, training including recurrent and on-going performance monitoring in accordance to CBTA principles.
• In conjunction with the Training Design, responsible that the training programs and courseware comply with regulator and CAE standards
• Responsible to ensure adequate number of suitably qualified training staff available to deliver the required training and standardization tasks.
• Support the ATO Safety Manager promoting the safety culture of the company.
• Build and ensure a solid relationship with key customers
• Project manage major customized training solutions related to the A220 platform.
• Deliver training to internal and external customers as required.
Sales and customer support
• Support Operations and Sales, build and ensure a solid relationship with key customers
• Partner with the Sales Team to assist with potential client needs
Experience and Skills
• Strong leadership and managerial capabilities – Minimum 5 years management experience in a training role.
• Extensive operating and training experience in Airbus or Boeing aircraft types.
• Profound knowledge of CASA regulations.
• Demonstrated experience with Regulatory Authorities.
• Demonstrates energy & the ability to energize & invigorate others
• Exhibits a passion for excellence & consistently follows through on commitments
• Strong focus on quality improvement with a continuous drive towards process improvement, customer satisfaction and compliance
• Focused on team accomplishments & demonstrates the self - confidence to empower others to accomplish tasks
• Results orientation & a proven ability to meet deadlines
• Proficient in the standard Microsoft Office suite as needed (Outlook, Word, Excel & PowerPoint)
Qualification
• Bachelor's degree from an accredited university, or relevant experience
• Hold or have held an ICAO recognized Airline Transport Pilot’s license
• Hold or have held a CASA CPL / ATPL
• ICAO English Proficiency -Level 5 or higher
