Role & Responsibilities

As the Head of Product, you will oversee DISCO’s product and drive the development of the company’s product vision and roadmap. DISCO is a product our users love, and you’ll be responsible for growing and improving the product in a way that drives growth, user satisfaction and revenue, in alignment with the company’s broader long term goals. Key responsibilities include:

  • Developing, driving, and communicating a strategic product roadmap that delivers significant impact and is aligned with business strategy
  • Delivering high quality products and features that delight our users and drive growth and revenue
  • Thinking long term about the platform’s opportunities and our vision. Ensuring each release contributes to that long term vision, and that the product, as it develops, remains, simple, fast and easy to use
  • Establishing and improving processes and frameworks for prioritizing, designing, delivering and launching new products and features
  • Ensuring the go to market and support teams have everything they need to maximise the impact of new features and products 
  • Working cross functionally with internal teams, customers and partners to collect, work through and execute on product-related challenges and opportunities 
  • Fostering a culture driven by research-backed and customer-focused data, with a focus on growth and retention
  • Delivering the end-to-end execution of a product-led growth strategy through a high performing product team, in close collaboration with engineering
  • Hiring, developing and leading a high-performing team of product managers, product owners and designers.
  • 7+ years working experience in product management, working closely with product, go to market and engineering teams
  • 3-5 years experience leading product teams
  • Experience building trusted partnerships with product and engineering teams and external partners
  • Exceptional project management and delivery skills
  • Ability to work independently and a strong sense of ownership

Desirable Skills and Experience

  • Ability to prioritize and complete multiple projects with deadlines
  • Excellent organisational and project management skills, and a natural ability to break big tasks into smaller sub-tasks that can be monitored and tracked
  • Strong technical skills and experience in data analysis
  • Excellent attention to detail and communication skills (both written and verbal) 
  • Strong cross-functional relationship management skills
  • Experience balancing business imperatives with customer requirements
  • Strong understanding of compliance requirements 
  • Experience working at a fast-paced company
  • A deep understanding of the music and media landscape worldwide and what it takes to win in this market
  • The ability to prioritise your workload in line with tight deadlines and work effectively under pressure
  • Excellent team player who works closely with others to deliver results
  • Excellent people manager who knows how to develop staff and get the most out of them
  • The ability to manage and communicate with various stakeholders within and out of the company
  • The ability to think and reason logically, and work empathetically with others
  • An eagerness to learn and take on tasks out of your comfort zone
  • Proactiveness and a willingness to volunteer to do what needs to be done
