About us Fusion Fire Systems is a supplier of advanced technology fire systems. Setting the standard in fire systems since 2007, Fusion Fire Systems offers the best in market for fire detection, control, and warning technologies in Australasia. We are seeking a Technical Support (Installations/Estimations) responsible for technical support services to customers for integrated electronic fire protection/warning solutions and technology systems. The role will work with Detection and Emergency Warning System, Wired and Wireless Detection & Alarm Devices, and Addressable Warden Intercom Systems - including systems installation, maintenance, fault diagnosis, testing and repairs. The role will also provide technical advice support and estimations on fire protection/warning solutions and technology systems for large install projects (eg. residential apartments and commercial buildings). Duties

Carry out installation, maintenance, diagnosis, fault finding, testing and breakdown repairs on integrated electronic fire protection/warning/alarm solutions and systems
Consult with client on system requirements, provides system recommendations and cost estimates
Inspect and test systems to ensure all system components are performing well and comply with safety requirements
Review installation manuals, building plans and work orders to plan optimal locations for system components
Identify and repair malfunctions in system components, including ordering and installing replacement parts as necessary
Compose and submit documentation and reports for each installation or repair visit, complying with company's standard operating procedure
Ensure fire alarm systems are compliant with current regulations
Provide technical support to customers
Provide estimations for fire protection/warning/alarm solutions on large installation projects (eg. residential apartments and commercial buildings)

Qualification/ Experience/Skills

Qualification and training in Electronic Security and Emergency Systems or Electronics/Programming Technology or equivalent
2-5 years experience in diagnosing and fault find fire warning and evacuation systems and alarms across Notifier, Ampac Pertronics FIPs or similar
Install service and breakdown experience in fire detection, emergency warning/evacuation and emergency lighting
Experience in fire armed and security industry
Networking experience with security, CCTV systems or other, desirable
Technical skills in diagnosing and fault find fire and evacuation systems and alarms
Strong understanding of integrated fire systems with the ability to perform and report on annual tests of fire systems
Ability to read drawings and blue prints
A good understanding and working of Australian Standards (AS1670 and AS1851)
Willing and capable to carry out diagnosis, fault finding and breakdown repairs on fire protection systems
Good problem solving skills
Ability to work un-supervised and self-manage stock and equipment necessary to carry out duties
Customer focused
Have good presentation and work ethic
Communication skills

Salary: $70000
