ROLE DESCRIPTION

Support sales team in the achievement of set commercial objectives, through technical led sales engagements, partner training, as well as developing and maintaining tech to tech partner and vendor relationships. Provide product based technical sales support to Cisco authorized business partners.

Provide insights on current product portfolio, emerging technologies, and changes in competitive landscape, to help maximise Comstor value-add, market relevance, and ensure overall success in terms of revenue and profitability. Work with vendor and sales teams to help develop and execute compelling solution propositions and programs for Comstor, Cisco, Resellers and their end users.


DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Technical Support


Help architect and design solutions for partners and their customer. Be known as the thought leader / best practice guru for the Cisco Security & Meraki architectures by creating mindshare.
To be an internal & external evangelist of Cisco Security & Meraki (the key competencies of this role will be your ability to build strong relationships, promote excitement around these vendors and have an ability to influence the pre-sales process)
Provide professional presentations and demonstrations for end customers on behalf of cisco partners.
Supporting resellers through presentations, queries and training as required by the business. Focus on presenting products as solutions, presenting real business benefits and integration with other architecture pillars.
Partner enablement i.e. perform POC’s/demonstrations for the latest Cisco Security and Meraki technologies.
Support the efficient promotion of differentiating Comstor value propositions through pre-sales engagement and partner training.
Establish a regular engagement with vendor Distribution Partner Account Manager and vendor engineering staff to share pipeline activity, best practice & training.
Build visibility within vendors, partners and customers to create a competitive distribution advantage for Comstor.
Work with Marketing, Vendor, and your Architecture leads to develop compelling technical enablement programs and initiatives.
Maintain competitive awareness of other vendor products and other distribution activity.
Provide internal updates and training on a regular basis.
Create and present technical updates to audiences in wide scale training and enablement sessions. E.g. Comstor edge
Align with Vendor KPI’s. i.e gamification program
Acquire & maintain appropriate vendor certifications to maintain accreditation in line with vendor programs.


Customer Support


Point of contact for customer inquiries regarding Cisco Security and Meraki solution designs.
Liaise with and support all other internal teams.
Identify ways to build margin by means of bundling and developing new propositions.
Assist where necessary with inventory and special orders.
Assist with customer events as necessary.
Prepared to travel as and when required.


Sales Support


Support sales team with product positioning.
Work with sales team to understand product trends.
Ensure customer operations have the necessary product and promotional information.
Develop product presentations for the sales force.
Work with Architecture leads to train Sales staff and Customers on Cisco security and Meraki solutions


 

Candidate Specification

Essential Experience & Skills

Technology: 


5-7 years of relevant experience in Security architecture (preferably Cisco architecture).
Good understanding of Comstor product portfolio offerings.
Understanding of products from a sales and technical perspective.
CCIE or equivalent Cisco skills, and additional certifications highly desirable.
Use advanced technology concepts to link Comstor’s offering to solutions in the customer’s business.
Thorough understanding of Solution Practice portfolio and technology.
Hands on technical configuration skills for POCs, demonstrations and general networking expertise.


Sales:


Good understanding of the sales cycle.
Architecture experience in a sales environment.
Good commercial & business acumen.
Well presented.


Customer Service:


Principles and processes for providing customer service.
Strong presentation and communication skills.


Certifications & Qualifications


Vendor accredited specialist qualification.
Demonstrable experience in relevant industry.
Technical background with experience in both hands on and selling of technology.
University degree in STEM field.
