We are in an exciting phase of growth with investment on cutting edge technologies. This Product Owner role will be one of the newest roles to support the build of a highly functional portal.

As the newest addition to our team, you'll handle a range of tasks: from planning and backlog management to delivery and governance. Collaborating closely with the Product Manager, you'll oversee day-to-day product development to ensure our new portal aligns with the planned vision.

Your key role involves translating portal functions into a comprehensive backlog and collaborating with engineering teams for feature definition, tracking, and iterative delivery. Employing Scrum methods like sprint planning and backlog grooming, along with traditional project management practices, you'll manage dependencies, risks, and stakeholder reporting.

As our Product Owner your key responsibilities include, but not limited to :

  • Managing backlog priorities according to the roadmap while ensuring clear understanding of requirements within the team.
  • Drive planning based on feature priority, strategy, and team capacity.
  • Planning sprints with team input and updating roadmap based on sprint progress, collaborating on adjustments with stakeholders.
  • Owning and defining delivery roadmap while using Agile methodology values, principles, and practices to plan, manage, and deliver initiatives and epics.
  • Identifying and handling delivery dependencies, blockers, and risks.
  • Managing release process, stakeholder communications, and change management and conducting regular retrospectives for continuous improvement
  • Managing delivery risks in line with company processes.
  • Tracking team velocity and engagement metrics.
  • Providing relevant reporting on the status of delivery and follow the governance structure.
  • Planning and organising demos, facilitate collection and processing of feedback.

About You:

  • Previous experience as a Product Owner  building a eCommerce or My Account Portal in financial services 
  • Experience working on B2B\B2C web experiences including back office functionality to manage transactions
  • Experience working with registration and onboarding processes for financial services businesses
  • Experience working with business models such as affiliates, loyalty programs and introducing business channels
  • Experience working on web development builds, portals and user experience projects 
  • Experience working in a large agile environment
  • An understanding of financial markets related concepts and terminology commonly found in trading, including  basic capital markets terms and calculations
  • A natural collaborator, working across diverse teams and stakeholders to define and deliver on a Partners strategy that supports the desired commercial priorities.
