Schools Engagement Manager

Compass Education

Compass Education company logo

Come shape the future of education with us.

Why do we do what we do?

At Compass, we love working with schools and strive to deliver new innovations, functions, and process improvements as new technology becomes available. Our services are specifically designed to improve not only the school process but also community culture and student learning outcomes.

Compass is a product that genuinely provides students, teachers, and parents with an improved educational experience. You can leave at the end of each day knowing you made a difference to a student's education or helped make a staff member's day just that little bit better.

Here’s why we need you…

You’re here to help us grow in Queensland!

This is a very important role within our fabulous & fun Acquisitions Team at the Compass QLD office in Brisbane. With over 10 years serving the Australian education sector, Compass is well known and loved amongst K-12 schools and we need you to help drive further success.

With your passion, energy and savvy sales acumen, you’ll spend your days building and driving conversations within the government and independent sectors. Your core mission is to learn about school challenges and articulate how Compass solutions can help teachers, administrators and school leaders focus on the important stuff - enabling schools to drive increased parent engagement, spend less time on administration and more time delivering great learning experiences.

You will deliver engaging product demonstrations (in person and virtually), work with various stakeholders across schools whilst partnering internally with our Customer Success team to ensure the best school experience for our prospective schools.

Responsibilities and duties:

  • Generate new business opportunities from both incoming leads and targeted outbound lead generation.
  • Learn, leverage and contribute to refining our lead generation process.
  • Work closely with the Senior Leadership Team & Marketing teams to develop a regional sales strategy and execution plan.
  • Be responsible for reaching and exceeding quarterly targets for qualified leads, demos and customers signed.
  • Keep up to date on the Compass product and participate in regular training & informational sessions.
  • Support and attend local and national marketing events.
  • Collaborate with the Onboarding and Training Team to bring new Customers onto the Compass Platform quickly and efficiently.
  • Pipeline management including documenting, tracking and following up on all active opportunities.

This is what you’ll bring…

Ideally, you’ve been selling to the education sector for some time and understand how schools run. You’re in sales; but, don’t “sell”. You consult. You help. You genuinely have your client’s best interest at heart. You love what you do and are keen to join a sales team who help & support each other.

Your ability to easily connect with people, lead and manage client opportunities and your fun, open & ‘team first’ attitude will serve you well in this role.

If this sounds like you, we can’t wait to meet you!

What’s in it for you?

  • Meaningful work in a rewarding industry that allows you to contribute to a mission that you believe in
  • Flexible working culture - hybrid working environment
  • Learning & Development opportunities - we want you to grow and get the most out of your role!
  • Parental Leave Program for both primary and secondary carers
  • 24/7 access to our Employment Assistance Program (EAP) through the means of face-to-face, livechat and phone support

It is a really exciting time to join Compass. We are growing fast and need people who want to grow with us.

Compass is proud to be an equal opportunity employer. We embrace and celebrate diversity and are committed to creating an inclusive environment for all employees.

Prior To Commencing Employment, You Require:

  • a valid Employee Working With Children Check
  • a valid Driver's Licence
  • a satisfactory National Police Check
  • verification of unrestricted work rights in Australia, eg citizenship, passport, or birth certificate
