About the Role
Our client are a very well established NSW Government statutory corporation who are responsible for supplying the state's bulk water needs, operating the state's river systems and dams, and the bulk water supply system for Greater Sydney. They are now in need of a highly experienced Project Controller to come in and assist them on a 6 month assignment with their team in Parramatta NSW.
Candidates for this position must have demonstrated experience in management of project/program controls across a portfolio of projects, including reporting requirements, coupled with prior experience with infrastructure projects.
As a Project Controller you will be a Part of the Project Control teams as part of the PMO function. You will be responsible for adherence to the control processes at a project level, developing, managing and overseeing project controls for all projects across the Asset Delivery Portfolio. This will include analysis of project schedule, cost, risk, and reporting.
Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Development and Maintenance Project schedules for the Asset Delivery Department including costs for monthly reporting and as required by Project managers
Development and Maintenance of the Cost tool for Asset Delivery Projects monthly report and as required by the Project Manager;
Assist Project Managers incorporating project budgets and cost breakdown structure into the schedules
Monitor and evaluate all stages of the project life cycle to ensure robust cost and schedule performance for Asset Delivery Projects.
Facilitate the development strategies for Project recovery plans with the relevant Project team members
Ensure compliance with Project Control processes and reporting across Asset Delivery Projects
Develop, maintain and provide time-phased forecast costs from the project schedules

You will work 8 hours per day, and 40 hours per week. It is our client's expectation that you will be in the office for the first 4 weeks for training, and from that point you will be on site 2-3 days per week.
Please note that you will be working on rural projects with some travel required
About You
You will be an experienced Project Controller with proven experience and reliability in previous roles.
The successful candidate will possess:

Tertiary qualifications in Engineering and/or Project Management
Current NSW Drivers Licence
Sound working knowledge of project controls methods and techniques
High proficiency in management systems such as MS Project, D365 and Power BI
Minimum 5 years demonstrated experience in the management of project/program controls across a portfolio of projects, including reporting requirements
Experience in program management
