Responsibilities
Prepare and cook meals and supervise meal preparation
Lead, guide, and inspire the kitchen team to deliver the best results
Food portioning, Proper food storage
Develop, test, and introduce new menu items
Manage kitchen consumables, stock takes, ordering, cost control and budgeting
Compliance with OH&S and Food Safety standards
Work alongside the management team
About you
You have a passion for the hospitality industry and are up to date on techniques and food
trends
You can demonstrate commitment to flavour and presentation while encouraging cohesive
and hardworking team environment
To succeed in this role, you must
Possess relevant post-secondary hospitality (Cookery) qualifications, to at least Diploma
level
Have at least 3 years of professional experience
Are available across the working week, including weekends and nights
Offer proven ability to prioritise, and set goals
Possess a thorough understanding of food safety and HACCP
Be able to work in a team and in a fast-paced environment
Understand cost control, time management, prioritisation, and cost-efficient procurement
practices
