The opportunity
Your role as Senior BI Developer, focuses on using data from various sources to create meaningful insights, reports, and dashboards that help Entertainment make informed decisions. You will play a pivotal role in architecting and developing advanced BI solutions that empower us to extract valuable insights and drive strategic decision-making.

Some of the things you will be involved in:
As a Senior Business Intelligence (BI) Developer you will be responsible for:

• SQL and Query performance Optimization: Write complex SQL queries to retrieve and manipulate data efficiently. Optimize SQL queries, ETL processes, and data structures for maximum efficiency and performance. Identify and resolve bottlenecks.
• Data Integration: Extract, transform, and load (ETL) data from various sources into the data warehouse or data lake. Ensure data quality and consistency.
• Report and Dashboard Development: Create interactive reports and dashboards using BI tools like Power BI, Tableau. Customize visuals to meet business requirements.
• Collaboration: Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand their reporting and business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
• Mentorship and Training: Provide guidance and mentorship to junior BI Developers. Share best practices, review their work, and facilitate their professional growth.
• Continuous Improvement: Stay up to date with the latest BI technologies and industry trends. Evaluate and recommend new tools or methodologies to enhance BI capabilities.
• Troubleshooting and Support: Investigate and resolve complex issues related to BI solutions. Provide advanced support to end-users and address technical challenges.
• Documentation: Create and maintain documentation for data models, ETL processes, and report development. Ensure knowledge transfer within the team.
• Regular performance reports for Members, Fundraisers and Merchants and insights to provide data for tracking effectiveness of campaigns and processes
• Respond to data and product related inquiries in real-time to support business and technical teams
• Where required, interact with external providers for legacy systems and processes
• Contribute to Technology strategic plan to continuously move Entertainment forward in the marketplace

We are looking for you to bring:
• Bachelor degree in a relevant field plus at least 2 years of relevant experience
• Proficiency in SQL and query optimization.
• Expertise in BI tools such as Power BI, Tableau or QlikView
• Extensive experience in data modelling and ETL development.
• Experience in Dashboard creation with various visuals and charts
• High attention to detail
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Leadership and project management skills.
• Strong MS Excel skills
• Strong SQL skills
• Being able to translate business requirements to data requirements and then translate back into business friendly reports and dashboards
