The Data Engineering team here at Tibra have the key responsibility to provide access to data that gives Tibra trading edge. We specialize in on-boarding large, historical data sets, for back-testing and running trading strategies. We want to provide our traders with seamless, secure access to data to help evolve Tibra’s investment process.
Responsibilities:
- Build, design and develop Tibra’s data pipelines, which are used by all trading teams
- Liaise with traders and other stakeholders to understand their use cases and optimize pipelines and systems according to the captured requirements
- Create technical documentation related to system configuration and operation
- Evolve Tibra’s data models and pipeline and systems architecture
- Perform and automate day-to-day data operations (DataOps)
- Troubleshoot data issues and maintain reliability across our data assets
- Trial and onboard new datasets
- Ensure data quality and data availability for all our trading teams
- Experience in Python
- Experience in SQL
- Keen interest in financial markets
- At least 1-2 years’ experience within Data engineering
- Experience with Agile Methods
- Experienced technologist with experience in business analysis, coding, architecture and design
- Experience or exposure to the following technologies is desired: a job orchestration framework such as Apache Airflow, Dagster, Prefect, AWS Step Functions, or Azure Data Factor
- Containerization tech, such as Docker and Kubernetes Relational databases, such as MS SQL, PostgreSQL, MySQL etc.
