We have an exciting full-time role available for an Electrical Engineer for the Sydney region. Your main duties will include travelling to customer sites to assist with commissioning, maintenance, repair, diagnosis and upgrade/update of instrumentation and electrical components. The objective is to minimize customer downtime and increase customer satisfaction of Endress+Hauser electrical and electronic instrumentation and services in an efficient, safe, quality and cost-effective manner.

Apply knowledge of measurement science, mathematics, physics, electrical and electronics to calibrate measurement devices to ensure measurement accuracy.

Role + Responsibilities:
Perform service visits to industrial plants, power stations, where processes are monitored and controlled by process instrumentation
Provide installation, commissioning and service on instrumentation demonstrating high level of competence in all aspects of industrial instrumentation, transmission lines and electrical equipment
Root cause problem analysis and resolution on site using instrumentation expertise and electrical engineering knowledge
Manage resources used in the supply of electrical components, instrumentation and electric equipment for installation, operation and maintenance of equipment within clients industrial plant
Knowledge and use of support systems and processes to professionally manage
track, document and effectively close service calls
Keep up to date with techniques and technologies in the process instrumentation/process control industry
Provide training to customer maintenance staff on maintenance, repair, commissioning of Endress+Hauser instrumentation
Professional interaction with customer and its representatives; “ownership” of issues and escalation when appropriate
Preparation for calibration activity (request type, tools and equipment needed, documentation, SOP’s/Work Instructions, etc.)
Identity and utilize appropriate calibration systems and procedures (SOP’s, Work Instructions)
Identify out-of-tolerance conditions and measurement errors and perform corrective actions to address identified measurement problems
Collect, compile, measure, summarize and record data gathered during calibrations; prepare calibration reports and certificates
Recommend standards and methods to be used in calibration applications

Skills + Experience:
Knowledge and a high level of competence in all aspects of industrial
instrumentation, circuit devices, transmission lines and other equipment, with an
in-depth knowledge of the extensive range of Endress + Hauser instruments in particular
Experience with managing resources used in the supply of electrical components, machines, appliances and industrial electric equipment
Tertiary qualification in Electrical Engineering and instrumentation disciplines with more than 5 years field experience
Knowledge of Occupational Health and Safety safe practices
A good understanding of industrial plant, power stations, machinery and the processes monitored and controlled by process instrumentation is essential
Highly skilled practical hands-on ability is essential as Australia-wide site service and workshop repair work is often required
Experience in commissioning of industrial plants and power stations
Good supervisory skills are required as the position involves supervision of service support work carried out on-site by engineers, repair work carried out by the workshop technicians and sub-contractors
Sound knowledge and experience using Microsoft applications, such as Word, Excel and Outlook
Ability to travel interstate as required
