Stawell Gold Mine is an underground gold mine located in Stawell, 236 km north-west of Melbourne. This historic region is known for its rich heritage in the exploration, discovery and production of gold.
We currently have an opportunity for a keen and driven individual to join our growing team of mining professionals as the Geo-technical Engineer. This residential position will be a permanent full-time engagement on a 5/ 2 days (Monday to Friday)
Reporting to the Senior Geo-Tech, your key responsibilities will be able to:
Assist Senior Geotechnical Engineer
Familiarity with UG activities / tasks
Stope assessment and Stope Notes
Stress modelling as directed.
Cable bolt designs
Data entry, validation and monitoring of Ground Support standards. Eg. GAC sheets, Batch sheets
Data processing of Fibre crete scans and photogrammetry as required.
Routine underground inspections
Preparation of plans / memos / reports as required.
Other duties as directed.
Beneficial qualifications, skills, experience for the role:
Degree in Geological Engineering or Masters in Geotechnical Engineering
Degree in Geological Engineering or Masters in Geotechnical Engineering
1-3 Year Hard Rock Experience will look at a Graduate if had some Underground Experience.
