Your new company A diverse, privately owned business on the upper North Shore/Beaches that is growing rapidly and is keen to hire an enthusiastic and ambitious Finance Manager to oversee the hospitality and retail arm of the business. Your new role We are looking for a Finance Manager to join the team and oversee the financial and management reporting of this business unit. You will work closely with the CFO and the Managing Director of the Group, and be a key member of the Finance team. You will be responsible for various finance and accounting activities, including:
Financial and management accounting, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards and policies
Financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, modelling and reporting, providing insights and recommendations to support business decisions and strategic growth objectives
Treasury, managing cash flow and working capital, and liaising with banks and other financial institutions
Tax compliance, ensuring timely and accurate filing of tax returns and payments, and managing tax audits and queries
Business analysis, performing financial and operational analysis, identifying risks and opportunities, and providing solutions to improve business performance and efficiency
What you'll need to succeed This role will suit a Finance Manager who is keen to progress in their career and work towards becoming a Financial Controller. In addition to strong technical accounting skills, you will have proven process improvement abilities along with an inquisitive nature. Strong budgeting, forecasting and financial analysis/modelling skills are essential to this role as you will be providing commercial support to the rest of the business to assist in future growth. You will also bring:
A bachelor's degree in accounting, finance or related field, and a professional accounting qualification (CPA, CA or equivalent)
At least 5 years of relevant experience in a similar role, preferably in the food and beverage and retail industry or similar
Excellent analytical, problem-solving and decision-making skills, and attention to detail
Strong communication, presentation and interpersonal skills, and ability to work effectively with different stakeholders
A proactive, self-motivated and team-oriented attitude, and a willingness to learn and grow
