Overview

This is an exciting opportunity to act as a senior in charge and join our External Audit team based in Darwin. Our team is continuously growing as our clients recognise the impact we make - that's why we need you!

Why our Darwin office? You will never stop developing your skills in this close-knit team where you will create lifelong relationships. We are seeking anyone with any industry experience as we have a broad client base which includes listed, not for profit, government, mining, and oil and gas companies. You will work in a diverse team and given the opportunity to work on national engagements.
The Darwin location is well known for its tropical climate surrounded by beaches, incredibly friendly inclusive and culturally diverse communities, incredible eco systems of wildlife, and is close to the famous Kakadu and Litchfield National Parks.
What will your typical day look like?

Working under our Audit & Assurance business unit, you will perform more duties than your traditional audit engagements. Not only will you measure the statutory compliance of a company and assess financial records, but you will design and develop innovative solutions for our reputable listed and private clients across a variety of industries. This is a rewarding role as you will use your leadership skills, mentor juniors, and act as a senior in charge on engagements.

Such work will meet your need for continuous learning and development as you gain exposure to different business environments and a range of high profile and complex accounting issues. You will be actively involved in planning audits and running engagements in a team-based environment. As the world has recognised the importance of reliable financial information, this is your time to become a trusted advisor for our clients.

Enough about us, let's talk about you.
You are someone with:

4 years' experience in External Audit
Possess a bachelor's degree or above in Accounting/Commerce or a related field
Commenced or possess a CA qualification (or similar)
Professional services experience gained in a Big 4 or mid-tier firm (preferable)
Exposure to a variety of industries - we have a diverse client base!
Strong communication, interpersonal, leadership, and multitasking skills

In line with the Temporary Skilled Migration Income Threshold applicable for Temporary Skilled visas, the minimum salary requirement is $78,000 inclusive of the minimum superannuation contribution.
