A highly reputable organization within the manufacturing industry, is looking for an experienced Accounts Payable Officer. This is a permanent full time positio n for candidates who are eager to be part of a remarkable business and a great team environment which aids in career development. This role is not a standard Accounts Payable role - it is a little more resolution driven (more details below):
About the Opportunity / Responsibilities:
Reporting directly to an Accounts Payable Manager who is supportive and nurturing and has been in the business for a long time, your main responsibilities will be:
Reconciliation of supplier statements
Investigation of outstanding items and rejected invoices and bring to resolution
Dealing with high volume accounts
Processing of invoices in accordance with close off dates to ensure timely payment
Looking into troubleshooting invoices that has issues
Working 100% with purchase orders (POs)
Resolving queries and working closely with appropriate departments
Working closely with branches and suppliers
Driving resolution of discrepancies
Assist with other ad-hoc tasks as identified
Ideal Profile
This opportunity is for someone who has experience within an Assistant Accountant position.. You will also bring:
Diploma/ Bachelor degree in Accounting & Finance or equivalent work experience
Minimum 2 - 3 years experience in large accounts payable environment
Prior experience working with high volume accounts
Reconciliation skills
Strong communication skills
Knowledge of Oracle (ideal but not mandatory)
Intermediate Excel skills
Great team player
Must have full working rights in Australia
Benefits
Macquarie Park/North Ryde location - close to public transport and onsite parking
$70,000 - $75,000 + Super
Permanent full time opportunity
WFH flexibility; after 3-6 months in the role
