The area
The John Curtin School of Medical Research (JCSMR) is a leading centre of medical research in Australia with research addressing fundamental biomedical problems of significance to human disease. JCSMR provides state of the art resources to support research in the discipline of Immunology. World class animal facilities are provided by the Australian Phenomics Facility housed in the Hugh Ennor Building, adjacent to the main JCSMR building. We also boast outstanding platform facilities for flow cytometry and high throughput/single-cell sequencing.

The Division of Immunology and Infectious Diseases (IID) at JCSMR is a highly collaborative and high-performing department. Members of the division have strong track records in both discovery science and bench-to-bedside research. Funding comes from a diverse range of sources, and we are highly successful in obtaining NHMRC, ARC and MRFF funding including prestigious fellowship support. Groups in IID have particular strengths in innate immunity, the genetics of immunodeficiency and autoimmunity, host defence against infectious diseases and B cell biology. IID also supports undergraduate teaching in human genetics, immunology and virology. To find out more about the Division of Immunology and Infectious Diseases, please click here
