Specialist, Human Resources & Talent Acquisition

Managing the complete recruitment lifecycle process for a diverse range of roles/ positions across the business. Undertaking strategic workforce planning in collaboration with managers to identify skills/talent gaps, assess the specific expertise required and implement attraction and retention frameworks.

Key Responsibilities:
• Consult with Management and HR functional areas to assist in defining and developing a HR and recruitment strategy to address workforce planning, talent acquisition & management, employee development, diversity, training, employee relations, and/or compensation;
• Support individual managers in vacancy management, selection processes, recruitment strategies and candidate attraction, to proactively fill available roles/FTE;
• Develop job descriptions and manage the advertising of vacant roles/ positions across the business, with an emphasis on promoting Edwards Lifesciences as an employer of choice and an environment to develop careers;
• Undertake comprehensive screening of eligible candidates, including conducting initial interviews and facilitating candidate negotiation, (e.g., salary, relocation);
• Organise, facilitate and support further discussions/ interviews between eligible candidates and relevant managers across the business;
• Manage candidate pools, including continuous pools, to ensure qualified candidates remain engaged for current or future opportunities;
• Managing the onboarding process from offer acceptance to first day, this includes, issuing welcome packs, keeping in contact with candidates, ensuring systems, access and equipment is ready for their first day and creation of induction and training schedules;
• Lead portions of strategic projects and programs to fulfill business needs and organizational priorities, including conducting organizational workforce needs assessments, developing strategic programs to develop workforce capabilities that meet organizational goals and leading cross functional business teams and managing program execution; and
• Other incidental duties assigned by Leadership.
Education and Experience:
Bachelor's Degree or equivalent in in Business Administration or related field. At least 4 years’ experience in human resources and recruitment

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills and interpersonal skills including negotiating, consultative and relationship management skills
• Demonstrated conflict resolution skills
• Good leadership skills
• Proven success adhering to and leading project schedules and managing moderate sections of projects
• Good presentation and facilitation skills
• Substantial knowledge and understanding of HR functional areas with an expertise in Talent Acquisition, Compensation, Benefits, Payroll, Leadership Development and Organizational Development
• Substantial knowledge and understanding of EW policies, procedures, and requirements
• Substantial knowledge and understanding of applicable employment laws and compliance implications
• Excellent knowledge of MS Office Suite and working knowledge of HR systems (e.g. PeopleSoft, Taleo, Time and Attendance system)
• Good problem-solving, organizational, analytical and critical thinking skills
• Good negotiation and conflict resolution skills
• Good leadership skills
• Ability to build and maintain strong relationships across the organization
• Ability to assess risks, analyze situations and determine next course of action
• Ability to manage internal and external confidential information with utmost discretion
• Strict attention to detail
• Ability to interact professionally with all organizational levels
• Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast paced environment
• Work is performed independently on more complex projects and/or lines of work and reviewed for accuracy and soundness
• Adhere to all EHS rules and requirements and take adequate control measures in preventing injuries to themselves and others as well as to the protection of environment and prevention of pollution under their span of influence/control
