About the business:
Our Hay Plant is located north of Perth - we procure, compress and export Hay and Straw both domestically and internationally. We are looking for an experienced mechanical fitter to join our team. This full time position involves shiftwork and possibly some weekend work as required.

About the role:
This is a growing business that can offer a long term position with career progression for the right person.
Full Time Mechanical Fitter required for a Hay Processing Plant located 80 mins North of Perth.

Starting 13th February 2023.

Duties and responsibilities for this role:
Reporting to the Site Manager, a full time opportunity currently exists for a Skilled Mechanical Fitter to ensure the availability, reliability and capability of plant assets in a Hay/Straw processing operation. This is a full time position with the potential to earn $60,000 - $70,000.
Responsibilities (include but are not limited to):
• To ensure maximum equipment uptime is achieved by providing effective and efficient mechanical preventative and breakdown maintenance.
• Engage in making, fitting or repairing mechanical machines, instruments or appliances.
• Ensure that all mechanical work is carried out to meet the Company safety and housekeeping requirements and conforms to all relevant regulations.
• Demonstrated ability to identify faults with the ability to troubleshoot and rectify problems.
• Routine maintenance on mobile plant
• Other responsibilities that may come up, such as working on projects.

Skills and experience
Mechanical Fitter trade qualifications and post-trade experience of a minimum of 2 years. Ability to work autonomously and in a team. Experience in maintenance/repair in a fast paced manufacturing environment. Effective and efficient fault finding and diagnostic skills. A thorough understanding of maintenance work management practices. Understanding of work planning and scheduling procedures. Sound computer skills. Well-developed communication and interpersonal skills. Thorough understanding and knowledge of WHS regulations/procedures. Ability to work shift work including rotating roster, day and afternoon
