This excellent opportunity will be offered on a Permanent Full-Time basis at 38 hours a week.
The successful candidate must have:
• Excellent English skills
• The right to work in Australia
• Certificate IV in commercial cookery or relevant qualification related to the field
• Minimum of 2 years of work experience
• Team management skills
• Ability to work in a fast paced environment
• Strong time management skills
• Proficiency in all aspects of food safety
• Positive communication skills, energy and attitude
Responsibilities include:
• Creating meal plans, calculating expenses for both food and labor, and procuring necessary food supplies.
• Supervising the quality of dishes during all phases of preparation and presentation.
• Engaging in conversations about food preparation matters with Managers, Dietitians, and both kitchen and serving personnel.
• Illustrating cooking techniques and offering guidance on cooking procedures.
• Getting food ready and cooking it.
• Clarifying and ensuring compliance with hygiene regulations.
• Possibly recruiting and instructing staff.
• Potentially freezing and preserving food items.
