ConnectSydney, a dynamic joint venture between Service Stream, Boral and Johnson Controls, will be delivering the Sydney Road Assets Performance Contract for the Harbour Zone in metropolitan Sydney.

The Sustainability Lead will lead, support, encourage and challenge the ConnectSydney team in achieving the sustainability objectives and targets. The sustainability lead will also lead the research, creation and implementation of sustainability initiatives, engaging with stakeholders to provide skilled assistance and applying existing procedures and guidelines to support sustainability programs for ConnectSydney.



Key Responsibilities



• Contribute to the creation and implementation of sustainability initiatives to achieve ConnectSydney sustainability objectives such as water, energy and waste targets.
• Contribute to the development and coordination of internal and external communications around sustainability, including creating case studies of sustainability initiatives, to promote and raise awareness of ConnectSydney sustainability objectives.
• Lead routine site and/or project reviews, to evaluate activities against established environmental management and sustainability plans, facilitating identification of environmental inefficiencies and risk, to ensure projects comply with ConnectSydney sustainability objectives and relevant legislation;
• Deliver the sustainability requirements of the ConnectSydney.
• Develop governance systems to ensure sustainability targets are on track across the maintenance and tactical phases of the project
• Lead the Connect Sydney ISCA rating commitments?
• Manage and?lead?delivery of the carbon neutral pathway?
• Implementation and engagement?with entire workforce to ensure the embedding of?sustainability?measures across?program?
• Work with the procurement and broader team in the development of innovative sustainable solutions?
• Liaise with project staff and personnel in the sustainability obligations of the project and the required sustainability practices and actions?
• Coordinate, collect and collate sustainability and environmental data and ISCA documentation.?
• Identifies and assess the Hazards and Aspects Risk Profile type risks associated with safety and environmental risks?
• Reviews and monitors the implementation of the project’s risk management process in accordance with the corporate process Risk and Opportunity Management?(PC-0004).?

About You

* Relevant tertiary qualifications in Property, Engineering, Science, or Environmental Management
• Experience and/or knowledge of the construction industry, cost/benefit analysis methodologies, corporate social responsibility and sustainability principles, green building design principles, and the relevant environmental legislation.
