Elements of Byron is an award-winning Beach front resort, nestled on 50 acres of absolute beach front paradise in Byron Bay. We have a fantastic opportunity for someone to be in their Element as our Assistant Spa Manager, working 4 days a week. Your working days could be either: Friday, Saturday, Sunday, Monday, or Saturday, Sunday, Monday, Tuesday.

Reporting to the Spa Manager your role with be split with providing treatments when required from time to time, with the remainder focused on providing administration, team leadership and support. You will efficiently assist to manage the daily operations of the Spa to maximise revenue and exceed guest expectations. Delivering exceptional customer service by providing quality Spa treatments in accordance with protocols when required, although this is mostly an administrative and team leadership role.

Full training of our extensive Spa treatment menu and Spa brands: LaGaia & Waterlily will be provided. You will be a leader in our team to answer any questions while setting a high standard for grooming and presentation while ensuring a happy and healthy working environment.
Responsibilities:
- Answering and converting phone calls to bookings
- Spa-scheduling utilising your accomplished computer skills
- Conducting financial transactions
- Mentoring staff, ability to manage time well and able to delegate tasks when necessary
- Ensuring the smooth day-to-day running of the the spa
- Ensuring the Day Spa is maintained in a clean, calm, quiet, relaxed, friendly & professional manner
- Liaise with all relevant company departments on a daily basis to ensure communication of key issues and challenges
- Monthly stock-take in line with existing policy guidelines to accurately analyse stock control and forecast future purchasing as required
- Have detailed knowledge of the products & services that the Spa provides & promotes
- Handle all guest complaints, requests and enquiries involving group bookings
- To promote a high level of performance, motivation and grooming amongst Spa staff
- Manage all spa administration ensuring accuracy, completeness and prompt delivery
- Provide treatments when staff are unable to work due to sickness or vacations.
- Previous experience as a Spa Manager or Senior Therapist within a 4-5 star Resort/Hotel environment
- Professional qualification: Diploma in Beauty and/or Cert IV/Diploma in Remedial Massage
- Proven, senior experience in all facets of treatment delivery including pregnancy massage
- Exceptional customer service with advisory skills
- Be an exceptional organiser with outstanding communication skills
- Hotel/Resort Spa experience preferred
- Cert IV / Diploma of Beauty or Diploma in Massage Therapy essential
- Valid First Aid certificate preferred
- Be a confident, well presented and mature leader
- Full time position available across 4 days
