An exciting opportunity exists for an Agricultural Motor Mechanic apprentice. The successful applicant will have a reasonable level of fitness, and be willing to work outside when required, they will be trained in all aspects of the high demand industry by a qualified and knowledgeable mentor. This position can either be a school-based apprenticeship with two days working on the job and three days at secondary school or if candidate is suitable, a full time apprenticeship may be offered. Duties Include:
Undertake routine services on agricultural chemical sprayers & motors
Repair and replace worn/damaged parts
Undertake preventive inspection to identify potential mechanical faults
Use technical equipment to test the function of motors and their parts
Requirements:
Genuine interest in agricultural motor mechanics
Willing to commit to work and study
Be a team player who takes pride in their work
Enjoy practical work
To be eligible to receive an Apprenticeship or Traineeship and the government funding, candidates must be a citizen or permanent resident of Australia.
