Join our dynamic team at HOBAN Recruitment within local City Council's Kindergarten Service and make a meaningful impact on the lives of young children. As an Early Childhood Educator, you'll be an integral part of our dedicated team, committed to providing a high-quality Kindergarten program in accordance with the National Quality Framework (NQF).

Key Responsibilities:

Support, deliver, and maintain a high-quality program in accordance with NQF, National Law, Regulations, and approved Early Learning Frameworks.
Work closely with the Kindergarten Teacher and co-educators to implement a program reflecting the Service philosophy and City Council's policies.
Assist the Teacher with documentation, observations, reflections, and planning.
Stand in as the room leader in the absence of the Teacher.
Create a warm, inclusive environment, fostering partnerships with families.
Support the participation of all children, including those with additional needs.
Engage with families to enable their contribution to service decisions and their child's learning and development.
Maintain a professional workplace, promoting open communication and continuous improvement.
Participate in professional development opportunities.
Assist in centre administration and maintain hygiene standards.


Judgement and Decision Making:

Responsible for planning and implementing a play-based kindergarten program.
Assist in centre administration requirements for City Council and DEECD.
Ensure compliance with Local, State, and Commonwealth guidelines and regulations.


Specialist Skills and Knowledge:

Understanding of the organisational context, policies, and regulations.
Ability to implement requirements that meet VEYLDF and EYLF.
Knowledge of NQF, National Law, Regulations, Quality Standards, and Rating and Assessment processes.


Management Skills:

Efficient time management, prioritisation, and organisational abilities.
Initiative and flexibility in undertaking work.


Interpersonal Skills:

Strong oral and written communication skills.
Positive communication with team members and the community.
Diplomacy, confidentiality, and sensitivity in communication.


Qualifications and Experience:

Diploma in Children's Services with relevant early years' experience.
Demonstrated ability to implement high-quality early years educational programs.
Experience as a room leader.
Thorough understanding and knowledge of legislative requirements, developmental frameworks, and NQF.
Current Working with Children's Check.
Current ACECQA approved First Aid, Anaphylaxis, and Asthma Management Certificates.
Current Driver's License (desirable).


Other Relevant Information:

Availability to work Saturdays if required.
Employment subject to the right to work in Australia.


Key Selection Criteria:

Diploma in Children's Services with relevant experience.
Demonstrated ability in delivering high-quality early years educational programs.
Experience as a room leader.
Understanding and ability to implement VEYLDF and EYLF.
Knowledge of NQF, National Law, Regulations, and Quality Standards.
Working with Children Check and current ACECQA approved First Aid, Anaphylaxis, and Asthma Management Certificates.
